Trillian on the fritz?

It seems that something is up with this program as of late. A few days ago I had a discussion with Ali and received auto-reply messages from him (despite the fact he hadn't enabled his away status). Then in the past 24 hours, another friend's chat client (trillian) had messaged some links to me (one was related to Osama Bin Laden) and another I can't recall. However, he wasn't responsible for sending either links. And just a few minutes ago, my g/f's client seems to be affected too. I am wondering if there's a virus or if anyone else is affected. I am considering uninstalling the program just as a precaution

It's a virus going around AIM/Trillian/Whatever. I know a lot of people who have gotten it. Here's the fix for it: http://www.jayloden.com/VirusClean.htm

Thanks for the link. I didnt get hit, but 1 of my girls was sending it and I knew it was suspicious but didnt click on it (I right clicked and looked at the properties for the link). Another one of my girl was talking to a friend and she clicked on the link. She got scared. I wondered if anything happened.

The Osama thing is a virus, but you have to click the link... And download the file it asks you to download... Whole nine. They pretty much ask you to install the thing yourself.

In short, if you get, then I think you deserve to.

I think it's more of an AIM thing than a Trillian thing.

Ooh... nice.
I've gotten two of those before(thanks to my sister), though I hunted down the original files (thanks to a late friend. RIP, BG) and and deleted them in safe mode. I'm assuming there are still registry keys, so I'll run these to make sure. Thanks for the link, Mr-K.
