The Worst Genesis games

The last time I seriously tackled the game with out warping straight to the last boss or taking that massive warp that skips like 20 levels, I made a map of all the levels and warps I took. I made to level 65, I belive. I think it was called Alien Twilight or something.

Anyway, by that point the game just gets out of hand, as you can so easily imagine.

Aparentlly I am the only one to have the mispleasure of playing a game called Street Smart. It was a crappy one on one fighting game where you had 2 freaking moves!!! A punch and a jump kick.........that's it....Not only that, but the collision detection was so shitty in this game, you could be standing right next to a guy and jam the punch button for a few minutes and you might only get two or three hits in. The sad part about this game is that it has some of the coolest looking cover-art ever. If Street Smart has taught me anything it's never buy a game based on cover-art alone.

You're not the only one. The arcade game was better than that shoddy port.

Hm, I was going to mention Street Smart but decided against it. Some games are best left buried in the ash-heap of history and that's a prime example. Far worse than even Rise of the Robots, which at least kind of looked good. :sweat:

I didn't think Street Smart was that bad considering there were almost no one-on-one fighting games out at the time.

I suppose I am a little jaded since my first enouncter with fighting games was the original Street Fighter in the arcade, but there is no way I can think of Street Smart as anything more than a terrible game. To each his own I suppose :D

You and me both. When I first got into buying japanese imports, one of the first ones I bought was Fist of the North Star.
Well, I received it, popped it into my Megadrive, and guess what? I was playing Last Battle.
I was angry. I also stupidly bought the Japan version of Shadow Blasters. It too sucks major balls.

Hell, I even enjoyed Rolo to the Rescue.

No it wasn't. The sound was fuct, as was the music and they messed up the gameplay too. I think it was actually just a port of the Master System version or something like that. Bah, I can't remember.

Double Dragon 3 on the otherhand, was better than the arcade version, but then DD3 was never really a good game to begin with.
