I don't know anything about Newsom aside from the fact that he's thrusting his issue right up the ass of mainstream Christian America.

Which normally would get a chuckle out of me, but not with an election and the Constitution at stake.

I don't even think any state constitutions should address the issue. Each state needs to handle it exclusively through their legislatures and judiciaries.

Contrary to popular belief, there are better ways to deal with a Supreme Court setback than running through the streets screaming for an amendment. Legislators need to examine the details of the decision (most of which never make it us through the news) and craft a bill that meets their needs and passes judicial muster.

Well it is debatable on several different levels. People still debate the concept of Tabula Rasa. Also a successful marriage doesn't really need love, infact the countries that have the highest success rates of marriage(ie. 90%+) have mostly arranged marriages. And a guy can have a hard on in any given situation if he wanted to unless he hs erection problem, and even then since the invention of Viagra....

But that isn't really the point. The real point should be whether goverments have the right to dictate how people live their lives.

Successful marriage rates? Well, a lot of countries like that don't ALLOW divorce, so I don't think it should count.

As for all the politics on gay marriage, I think it's too overblown. It's not going to fade away no matter how much people want to don't want it to, so we may as well TRY to get used to it.

But I'm not yet sixteen, so what the hell do I know? (I figure my generation is going to have to deal with this a lot, though).

Not really. It is more of a society thing. There is strong evidence to suggest that people in marriages who like each other are more likely to succeed than those who love each other.

While yes, there are many cases where the guy is a complete asshole in one of these arranged marriages, most guys aren't that bad(atleast not 50% of us are... :p..

"FAGGS" can't naturally breed anyway. They use test tube babies to have children which I am against no matter what kind of sexuality you are. If I found I was born in a test tube, I would first kill my parents because they were such assholes to do so and then kill myself. The last thing I want is to have more parallels between myself and machines.
