As has been said many times in this thread, the "it's only killing when..." argument doesn't work. Why can't you have a child and when it's still 18 months and very dependent on you, go ahead and kill it because "oops I realized that this was not a good idea"? It doesn't require a lot of foresight for you to realize that something will be a financial or whatever-else strain on you.

No...I'm saying that you should have thought about it in the first place, and even if you DIDN'T (which would make you incredibly stupid IMO), there are many options available right after. If you wait, then give that thing up for adoption because there are many people out there that would die to be able to have a baby. Sucks that you were too irreponsible.
Like I said, I can fully understand if medical complications arrive (you can't expect all of those from the outset), and that's where I can sympathize with someone actually having an abortion. But that isn't the case with the overwhelming majority of those that undergo them. My sister had one. She was 17. My mother had one before she had me (and BTW I am sure glad I had the opportunity to walk this earth). BOTH cases were of the majority, annd both (just like many others that have such abortions) regret having them in the future.
