Not only has James Gunn written Scooby Doo 1 and 2 but he also used to write for Troma which is pretty scary. Still I'm definately gonna see this, it's just kinda...required viewing for me,good or bad.
As for the DVD, you might not wanna pick it up right away since Anchor Bay is putting out a Dawn of the Dead box set which will have all 3 versions of the film. They're having legal problems with the Argento cut or some shit so I dunno when the definite release date is but it should be worth the wait.
thats the problem with remaking classic films. they rarely live up to the originals.Quote:

damn im bitter! but this has allways bugged me. hopefully it will be entertaining.
but! Dave Lombardo from Slayer/Fantomas/Grip Inc. is working on the soundtrack though. that's a good bit of news!
Just a reminder, tonight is the night.
I'm probably gonna skip out on the USA preview and catch it next time I go to the movie theater.
Well... that wasn't too bad. Interesting car shots and general carnage. By my question is... how did all of those fires get going?
I watched Final Destination and they got up to the point where Alex saves Claire and then shes trying to wake him up and you see a hallway coming into focus. Then they cut it.
What the fuck happens?
I happened to catch it, even though I didnt plan to (changed the channel while flipping at the exact moment it started).
It looked pretty awesome. Kind of hard to believe that all that chaos occured overnight though. It seems as though they are taking the approach that the zombies are fresh dead so they can move just as fast at least at first. It make it seem like total impossible odds. All I know is that it is a lot more intense then the original.
The people turned to Zombies waaaayyy too quick IMO.
I read this thread about 45 minutes too late.
