This quagmire isn't ancient - it's only been around since the end of WW2. The reason why the US is involved is that most of the rest of the Jews (that didn't stay in Europe or go to Palestine) emigrated here.

:nod: The whole Isreali-Palestinian conflict is a direct result of Hitler's shit. Most of the Jews in Europe left for Israel during and after the war, as a sort of second Exodus. The Jews having a more prominent position in the holy land reopened VERY OLD wounds.

There are suspected links between the Spain bombers and Al-Qaeda (BBC). Some have even postulated that this was a revenge attack for Spain's staunch support of America in Iraq. If this was indeed revenge, does this open the door to more revenge attacks (like on France for its controversial, and stupid, religious head-gear ban; Canada because... well, we're next door; Britain because of their support for America)?

Oh yes, it is soooo false. Because the article says it might be false, it has to be! Whether or not the 'Black Wind of Death' is true or not, the fact of the matter is I live in NYC, I knew people who died in the WTC, and I know it's a good possibility to happen again.
