Fire Pro Wrestling D Thread

This game keeps getting better each time I play. The little details and things you can do are amazing. I bumped the referee for the first time, but I think it's hard to do.

My favorite moves are the chokeslams,tombstone piledrivers
powerbombs, ddts off the top rope.

And is it just me but are the criticals fun? I love when that happens.

Some cool things that happened I had a 30 minute draw with playing as Sting against Vader.

In Another match Vader went for his Vader bomb but in mid-air I locked in a armbar critical submission!

Love that belly to back suplex where you can throw someone halfway across the ring.

Cool move is a reverse suplex into a stunner/jawbreaker.

I like Habyusa,Masato Tanaka and many others.

EDIT The kicks in the corners don't look as nice as the puches oh well.

Another fun thing to do is have a battle royal and use someone with a high rate of criticals like Vader. Today in the Battle Royal I gave critical Vader bombs to 5 guys and they just lay in the ring cause they can't leave themselves.

Habyusa is one of my favorite overseas wrestlers ever. He is one of the best high flyers I have ever seen. Granted, Ive only seen his ECW matches but they were amazing.

Go get the FMW DVDs, especially the Best of Hayabusa one. He's in the majority of them and there's some great Hayabusa -v- Mike Awesome matches on 'em (The single greatest rivalry in wrestling history).

To get back to the topic. Just a little advice for the FPD newbs; work the matches just like the real wrestlers do, you'll win quite a few more matches (almost the only way to win on level 10). For example, if you're Hogan and you don't play to the crowd often and set up the finish with a big boot into the leg drop, you won't win.

I'm amazed a PS2, GC, or Xbox Fire Pro Wrestling hasn't surfaced yet.... *-neo

There is a version of Fire Pro coming out for the PS2 in Japan.


Now if only they'd release one for the XBox.

Hayabusa was cool. He's now paralyzed from the neck down due to a botched Asai moonsault.
