Particle effects on a freaking handheld. Who'da thunk it?
Sony! That's who!
The more I watch the video (about 10 times already) the more and more my frothing demand for this game system increases.
Hmm, I will watch the vid, when I get home tonight.
Pretty advanced for a handheld, but I can't imagine really getting excited over fully-3D games on a handheld. 2D works on the small screen, but with 3D games you have to take into account depth perception and and a whole lot of other factors.
Nontheless, I'm really curious about the PSP now. Considering the resolution and the power behind it, it COULD be a fantastic 2D machine. It could likely even handle CPS2 and Neo-Geo games. Nice deal.

I am not familiar with Hajime no Ippo. Care to enlighten me?
I know this, and apparently you know this, but the last time I tried to explain it everyone got sand in their crotch.Quote:

On topic: I couldn't give half a shit about the battle between 2-D nerds and 3-D graphic whores, I just want fun games. Is that so wrong?
3D on a small screen is going to take some getting used to. With a big TV you get the luxury of 3Ds depth being larger, trying to see something far off in the game on a little screen might get a little taxing on the ol' peepers. 2D games you never really have to deal with that stuff because its always on the same plane and right there.
Just for fun I made medai player about the size of the PSP screen when playing the video. Kinda hard to see.
Eh. I don't like the aspect ratio.
We'll see. I'm actually interested now.
