Guardian Heroes Advance on the way?

Hi !

Guardian Heroes on GBA would be awesome. I have it for my Saturn system and I wouldn't mind getting this one to play again on the train :) even if, as f you said, I doubt the GBA will be able to handle all the 2D stuff going on screen...

By the way, do you remember this rumour about a Treasure collection pack called 'The Treasure box' ? I know it was a hoax but wouldn't it be great if Treasure would finally do it ? shall we start a petition ? ;)

No doubt. I was thinking about that particular rumor when I first saw this thread. I'd love to see Alien Soldier, Gunstar Hero and Dynamite Headdy all in one cart for GBA. Oh man that'd be sweet.

I don't remember SF2 having nice sprawling enviroments or multiple guys on the same screen so you can throw one guy on another guy.

Double Dragon stayed in my supergun looooong after SFII came into town. You suck at evaluating the fun of beat 'em ups. :bang:

DUDE!! Die-Hard Arcade was awesome, and that came out way after SF2, which has jack shit to do with beat-'em-ups anyway.

The secret to a good beat-'em-up is to have a nice variety of cool moves as well as lots of weapons and items (chairs, tables, etc.) to break and throw.

NES Double Dragon 2 is still amazing to this day, and let us not forget RCR.

In keeping with the parlance of this thread...

Guardian Heroes is not your average beat em up- it is a masterful fusion of the traditional beat-em-up with combat elements taken from fighting games. It is this sheer fact that makes GH such a masterpiece.


SIDE NOTE:

I will pay top $$ for a copy of Panzer Bandit (the closest thing there is to GH)

Fair warning: Panzer Bandit will reap about a fraction of the enjoyment Guardian Heroes does.

I played the two in inverse order. I bought Panzer Bandit for PSX before I owned a Saturn. Reasonably enjoyable, but still no comparison to GH.

Exactly! The only thing in common between the beat-em-ups and the tournament fighting genre are the fact that they involve martial arts. If my entire videogame collection was burning and the only games I could save are Street Fighter Collection or River City Ransom, I would gladly choose RCR over SF2.
