Try to pay the ticket online, maybe. A lot of DMV's have started doing that.
Just tell them you lost it. I'm sure they'll understand, and will appreciate your honesty.

do you remember the county you got the ticket in? or was is a state pooper?
if its local - get on search engine and look up the county and find the number for the courthouse or police dept, etc etc and just tell them you lost it. If its state troppers, that should be same thing though i'm sure they won't be as lenient. =\
God speeding tickets are fucking horrible in Texas. They make you pay out of the ass and all those small towns are chock full of speed traps.
