82. Daikatana
lol
I hve Daikatana too. Get rid of the bugs and sidekick AI (I can't leave without my buddy Superfly!), and I'd play it over Halo 2 SP.
This tells me all I need to know. Congrats on owning yourself.Quote:

I get more and more into the game each play session. Cool stuff.
This game is sick. Sick sick sick.
I've played thru all other Metroids, this is the only time I've actually been weirded out by one. There's something about the cramped corridors of the game connecting all the big areas. In Prime 1 you didn't do a whole lot of cramped quarters fighting.
In P2 it's ALL OVER the place. And the bosses??? Holy shit, Dash Boost boss RAPED me like 4 times before I figured out how to survive. I beat the 1st boss with 14 energy. 5 hours in and I've only found 2 E-tanks.
Also, Dark Aether always being such a nast dangerous place. It's like being told to deal with Magmoor or Norfair and being given no protection to do so. Plus the place is dark, twisted, generally cramped with wicked ass shit hitting you while your suit bleeds power looking desperately for protection from light.
It's not so much that they decided to do a light and dark world premise nor the changes in Samus' compliments of weapons and armor but a rampant revision of the standard Metroid environment, taking lands that were generally benign and making even the hallways and rooms against you (Come on, Marida and Phendrana Drifts and Brinstar weren't very dangerous while Dark Aether is heavy duty). So much bad shit and they went out of their way to let you know it's a terribly hostile place. That and something I noticed is that when you do your 1st big victory against the Ing (P2's bad guys for those who don't know) they viciously attack you till you leave the area, great way to play out the game, that and the Marine's futile attempts to live as well immediately shows that others ahve died and that you could be dead too if you screw up. Big changes from the standard there's no body out here 'cept you. Now it's no body out here 'cept you, a nearly extinct culture and a crapload of "doomed space marines" [/Duke Nukem] that make it clear what you're up against.
"Congrats on owning yourself."
No...congrats go out to Bungie for making a single player game that just isn't much fun. Heck, you probably haven't even played it yet (which is no surprise...you keep saying how big of a jump GTA and RnC3 are, yet you have to play those extensively either).
And Daikatana is a barrel of monkeys? You're hella delusional, and that makes me laugh.Quote:

At least I get a mouse and keyboard with one of the not very good games.
Halo2 SP-not very good, crappy controller
DK-not very good, good controller
Er go, take out the sidekick AI and the bugs and yes, I'd rather play DK.
