Van Helsing

I've been seeing some ads for this game on G4, and damned if it doesn't look like some work has actually been put into it. Just have to see how the reviews pan out. The Xbox version has Live support, but I can't find anything on the official site that says exactly what features that adds.

Well, at very least, it has werewolves in it, so we know it's guaranteed one satisfied customer around here.

The movie looks like what a Castlevania or Vampire Hunter D movie would be like. As for the game, I predict it to play like an unpolished Devil May Cry.

I'd like to be wrong, though.

I will be renting this. I hope it turns out decent (same goes for the movie).

I am always up for some DMC like action, and weapon selection they have is pretty cool.

Four copies of the game will be given out, two for PS2, two for Xbox. Just thought I'd pass it along to folks who might be interested.

I played it today at babbages, this game plays like Legacy of Kain Defiance, but with a worse camera.

Oh dear lord! Is that even possible?

You have to see it to believe it. It's just as spastic as Defiance, maybe more, but it seems to always been at awkwards angles during fights. It really does play like Defiance or DMC though, Helsing even slows down in mid air like kain or dante when he attacks.

Interesting. Maybe I'll rent it for a go'round. I dig DMC and Defiance, but if the camera is as bad as you say, then buying it is a no-no.

saw it running at EB earlier in the week looked like a DMC rip-off. Not that that is so bad (happen to really like DMC) but after Enter the Matrix I am not going to touch another movie game until I see some reviews.

That what RENTALs are for. Just rent the damn thing :)
