Where do you live? I saw it last night and almost everyone was constantly laughing. Maybe we are more easily amused in Seattle.
Saw it today, it was pretty good. It has it's moments but it wasn't as funny as I hoped it was going to be. It was a fun movie and kept me entertained so thats all I can ask. Definatly worth a matinee.
Man, when I watched this movie the opening night, people were laughing, cheering, and going nuts throughout the whole movie. I personally loved it as well.
Shingo, same here.
Just saw this one...
I knew it was going to be great (a movie about dodgeball can't be anything else), but I had no idea it would be that great! Ben Stiller stole the whole show. Perfect character. And I don't think dodgeball-to-the-head sight gags will ever get old. :) The fact that it was the "Joes" Vs "Cobra" was a nice touch too. I don't even know if that was intentional, but it was nice 80's nostalgia none the less. The only thing that could have made the movie better would be if we could have seen the MILFs and the She-Mullets play. :)
To top it all off, the movie had a pirate! Arrrrr!
I didn't realize that, the girl lawyer lady who plays for Joes was Stillers wife.
I mean, he whipped her in the face with a dodgeball.. his own wife. How awesome is that?
I love Melody. Also, funniest part is when the Cobras come out to the court through the smoke and do their hand jive where they cross their arms while hunched over and then pop up like a cobra and hiss. They do it over and over while going around in a circle. Cracked me up the whole time. The casting was really well done in this. And the sound of a dodgeball hitting someone is like the new gunshot sound effect- it instills fear in everyone.
Glad to see someone else here remembers "Hey Dude."Quote:

And Rip Torn is the best thing in the movie by far.
I dunno sleeve, Stiller owns it hard too.
