Average or crappy games you still loved...

It happens every now and then i get hooked on a game that's pretty average [or terrible]. Yesterday, I played Vigliante 8 for the first time in like 3 years and I was loving it. I say average or crappy because I'm referring to the general view gamers have on the game, not my opinion, I thought V8 was brilliance. Anyone else?

My list could go on forever. My biggest "offense" is Stuntman. Hated by most of the gaming public, loved by Videodrone.

Vigilante 8, Destruction Derby, Ignition Factor, Firefighter F.D. 18, WWE SmackDown (series), Deadly Moves, Pit Fighter, Toe Jam and Earl 3...there are more, I'm sure.

I don't think it's considered average or crappy, just not as good as the first. Most reviews were in the 8-9 range.

I thought China Warrior, Gumshoe, BloodRayne and Bravoman were great but most would disagree.

I had some fun playing Legend of Dragoon, but most people I know consider it to be total shit.

off topic, is deus ex 3 actually being made? i know it was in the planning stages when part 2 was in development, but i haven't heard anything since.

i loved gumshoe back in the day. i had no idea that people generally disliked it.

I thought I was the only one that liked Vigilante 8 :p

Anyway, another vote for StarFox Adventures. The game gets shat on almost every time I see it discussed, whether because some people despise collectathon game design (which is another thing I don't understand the hate about), or out of spite towards Rare or whatever, yet I personally thought the game was very enjoyable. It may not have been innovative, but it was still a very, very solid game, and to this day still has easily some of the most amazing environments and graphics in any game.

GunGrave and several other Sega games come to mind, as well.
