I doubt this game has many fans but I loved it. It's definitely one of my favorite 8-bit shooters. Anyone else like it?

Astro Warrior was a fun game I had the Astro Warrior/Hang on Cart. I actually finished it sorta I recall there being only 3 levels and then it repeated itself. Nice bosses and cool music like the title screen had.
Astro Warrior/Hang On were my very fisrt games I owned as a youngster.
Korian
Astro Warrior could use more levels but at least it was still challenging.
In Europe they also had Astro Warrior/Pit Pot. I wonder why that combination didn't come out here. Especially since most people got Hang On with their systems.
I looooved Astro Warriors. Used to play it all day long...those damn spiders that stick to you like glue would ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS get me though. God damn it. Hehe
You know what the strange thing is? I was about to make a thread about this game...
Astro Warrior could be breezed thru with the proper power ups,
only did it like once. It was beautiful back in the day.
Astro Warrior/Hang On was my first SMS game as well. I always liked how the "options" moved and you can place them strategically around the ship. Good Times.

Those boss "eyes" freaked me out. SURELY REVIVE ZANONI!!
It was a cool game, for sure, but I don't think it's aged aswell as Bomber Raid and Power Strike. Blade Eagle was cool too.
I was so surprised to see both Astro Warrior and Kung Fu Kid topics on the first page but then I noticed they were both old threads that were bumped.
Speaking of Bomber Raid, does anyone know if Compile developed it? It certainly feels like a Compile game.
intersting theory. I was always under the impression that it was an in-house activision title, designed to loosely tie into the "River Raid" franchise. It's gotta be one of the best western developedshmups ever though, if that's true.Quote:
