Well its about time we got another Goemon here in the States. To date all we've gotten is the SNES classic and a crappy GB title. I think WD can do the series justice. Its goofy nature is right up their alley :D
There's an awful lot of people in this thread that "love" Goemon but can't seem to spell his name...
Actually, there were 2 Goemon titles released for the 64 here in the states as well. The first one, Mystical Ninja 64 was just average in my opinion, while Goemon's Great Adventure was more along the lines of Mystical Ninja on the SNES. I never did get to try out the GB game, but it didn't look like anything I would want to go near.Quote:

Here's the secret to Vic: if he likes a game, chances are he's trying to get the rights to it. If he doesn't like the game, it isn't coming from them.
He ALWAYS finds problems with every game other than the ones WD releases. What was that recent thing from him where he bashed pretty much every shooter BUT PS2 Silpheed? And he always has something negative to say about every non-WD RPG.
Nice to see another Goemon game coming stateside. Thanks for the heads up.
And thanks for the usenet post links, Ben.
There's a simple reason for this, really.Quote:

Vic is an asshole.
I barely even keep track of WD nowadays. They've gone so downhill it isn't even funny. Mediocre games with awesome boxes wear thin after a while.
I can't believe this is their next game. Goemon is cool and all, but c'mon! Whatever happened to the WD that released orphaned rpgs? They've turned into a company that just releases whatever is left over, and they take forever to do it too.
so true it hurts.Quote:

ouch.
Fans aside, I think it'll take a lot more than a foil cover and such to convince people to buy a Goemon title in the US.
I think now's the time when Vic & Co. should really have a better process of determining which games they'll fuck up; they can't afford to have many more unprofitable titles.
What the hell is Konami doing whoring out Goemon to the hacks at Working Delays? What's next? Suikoden? Vandal Hearts? Castlevania? Damn you, Konami!
