Fans aside, I think it'll take a lot more than a foil cover and such to convince people to buy a Goemon title in the US.
It'd be enough for me :D. Hehh, really though. You would be surprised how many people will get the game cause of a shiny cover and big package shoved with extras.
Not in my opinion. The last Working Designs game I bought new was Lunar 2 on Sega CD. I refuse to support their butchered translations and forced extras. Happiness is Vic Ireland's face on a milk carton.Quote:

Sounds to me like he rated the game 7.5 out of 10 based on the intro music.Quote:

On the bright side, Goemon is cool and it probably won't take 5 years to translate. Of course, I'm sure WD will try to prove me wrong and find some why to make it take that long.
On the other hand, I'd rather have Growlanser.
I like Goemon and all, but I'll reserve judgement on this game til I play it. The new look of Goemon does not impress me so the play mechanics better step up. *-neo
Jeezum Crow, guys! You gotta give WD some credit! After all, they bring games to the U.S. that no one else would. I give em a hi-five for bringing me Thunder Force V.
And if anyone has an example of some text that has been oh-so-drastically altered by them, then let's see it. I've been hearing people say this about WD but never any evidence. If it's just the random villager cracking a new joke instead of a faithful translation of the original boring, pointless thing he says, ehhhh,i don't care.
Regardless, I'd rather buy an English version of Lunar 2 with some slight, unnoticeable changes than a U.S. version of Metal Slug X or Last Blade 2 with WHITE BLOOD.
Funny you should use Lunar 2 as your example, as WD made a bonehad change in the save game system in that one -- making it so it required points to be spent to save.Quote:

To save a game you had to use roughly the same number of points you'd recieve in one battle.Quote:

Simply made you think about when to save a game and that's one change I can respect. *-neo
There's no such thing as a change I could respect. This is Working Designs implying that they could improve a GameArts game. That is utter bullshit, just like when they thought they could improve Treasure's Silhouette Mirage.Quote:
