I'm still giving my vote to Bush, the more I hear from Kerry the more I disagree with him. He makes you think he's going to do all these things but really has never explained how. The economy is doing good now, in my opinion the terrorists are far weaker now then they were in 2001, Iraq seems to be doing much better (still violent however, at least the power changeover did occur), and Bush maintains conservative views, while Kerry leans more to the liberal side and I doubt he'd take a big stand on anything if he thought it would make a lot of people unhappy. Kerry seems very much like a political whore to me, he'll sell himself out to anyone that will get him into office.
This "Kerry is a flip-flopper" thing is bullshit, like an advertising tagline you're being fed. He's no more or less of a flip-flopper than any politician who has a reasonable shot at being president.
And let us never forget that the ultimate flip-flop of recent years was "We're going in if Saddam doesn't allow UN inspections to resu... No shit. He did? ...um... Unless you step down. You're killing your own people and I saw you making out with Osama on the cover of the Enquirer just like everyone else did."
They all do it. It just *usually* doesn't lead us into war, so Kerry's got my vote. The only thing that really, really gets to me about Kerry is his support of partial birth abortion and that's never going to happen. I doubt he'd even have the balls to try it, because his political career would definitely be over if it got that national coverage something like that should.
Actually its probably not bullshit. But the problem with Kerry is that he was a Senator, so its hella easy to look at his voting record and his speeches and find discrepancies. Especially over a period of 20 years. Maybe thats one reason why governors, not senators, become President.Quote:
