I had some lucky dodging, but this was before I knew how to get the 1up.

Oh, and I finally credit-fed the ending. The chances of me beating this game are less than zero. Seriously, I just don't understand the last boss at all. I watched the superplays, but it doesn't help me.

He isn't so bad, Joust. Just use simulation mode and max the rank and Kakusei over level and practice until you feel no fear.

Almost cleared with four lives again, but I goofed in the final few seconds.

Getting further. Got onto the second lifebar of the final boss (when he's flying, but before he assumes his ultimate form):

This boss is pretty tough, I credit fed him earlier. Not sure how I'm going to survive that final phase. Is the movement of the shots from the side dependent on your position? I could do with luring it away, I always seem to get "pinched"...

5-2 was quite the rush since it was the first time I'd ever played it. I didn't get hit once during the whole stage either, although the boss took out my two remaining lives pretty quickly since I decided to destroy his wing thingies right away. I'm guessing that was a big mistake.

Well, I think I'll start practicing the individual stages for a bit now and figure out some paths through the stages instead of just sort of bulling my way through the game.

This game is just so much fun, I wish my PS2 would let me play it more often. I wasn't able to get the game to run all day, and now that it is running I'm afraid to turn the thing off.

Nevermind. Guess it froze up while I was doing other things. Guess that's it for me for tonight.

I had a heart attack earlier. 28 million and 3 lives going into the final boss' ultimate form, the power on my PS2 suddenly cuts out. I turn around to find my little brother had been playing with the wiring and disturbed my sensitive transformer! Thankfully, I bounced back later and got an even better score, losing my last life on the third phase of the final boss' ultimate form:

I'm getting better. Everything fell apart on the 5th level though.

Has anyone heard of changing the clock settings of your PS2 messing everything up? I changed the date before my PS2 started acting up, so I set the date to the earliest date I could set it and so far I haven't had any problems...
