I won an auction on Ebay for Double Dragon Advance but I didn't have time to ask the seller whether it is a bootleg or not before the auction ended.
The auction was for cart only and this is the picture that was in the item description. The seller has 100% positive feedback.

Need to check the back of it. I had a friend that got a boot of mario 3 (i think) and on the back it said "Nintondo". And the beginning boot screen was different than normal.
From what I've heard, nearly all of the loose GBA carts you buy on ebay are boots. Overseas sellers are more suspect of course.
Boots have different screws on the back also I believe.
If it was cheap, had no box/manual (some boots do though) it probably is a boot. Like Kidnemo said overseas seller are more suspect. You can also check their past sales. If they have sold the same game more than once (usual many time over), it's a boot. Unfortunatly Ebay is littered with them. I'd guess there are more boots than legit copy of most title on Ebay.
I had a guy get all up in my face on gametz, because I was going to make a trade for a copy of HoD and backed out. I questioned where he got it and he said Ebay. He actually said he had two copies because the first didn't work, so the seller sent him a second one, no questions ask. I told the guy I wasn't going to trade for a bootleg cart, yet he kept senting me nasty emails about how I should back out of trades and stuff. wtf
You guys mean that bootleg GBA carts look just like the real deal? I emailed the seller asking him whether or not this is a bootleg but he still has not responded. :cry:
I knew I was taking a risk when I bid in this auction but I really wanted this game and I stumbled upon the auction minutes before it ended, I couldn't help myself. The seller has 73 positives, no neutrals and no negatives 100% positive feedback so I'm still keeping my fingers crossed. The winning bid was $13.50 + $2.00 S&H.
I looked at the picture closely and I can see the Nintendo seal of quality, the Atlus logo and the something code USA on the bottom right corner. It looks legit.
Doesn't anyone on the site own this game, please look at your cart and compare, original or bootleg?

Bootleggers often don't have bad feedback for two reason. First, most people don't notice. Secondly, often boots are so cheap, most people don't care. They just want the game. Look at HoD, you can get a "loose" copy all over Ebay for $10, as opposed to an original for $30-$40.
Did you compare the back to another GBA game?
Well, I don't own it, but I've seen the cart-only version, and that looks fine to me, although it could just as easily be a high-quality bootleg.
