SpoDaddy, you rule.
Yes, I know I'm telling SpoDaddy he rules.
As for Kerry, I plan on voting for him before I vote against him.

Isn't that a contradiction of theories? Or is the answer not Hussein?Quote:

No offense to Spo, but if you're caring about things like war records, your priorities are in the wrong place. Number one should be the end of THIS war, not who did what way back when. This goes for Kerry with his questionable service and Bush with his questionable service (or lack thereof). We cannot leave Iraq because it's not good for the people there. We can't just drop a few bombs. We have to remain rational in the face of these militant extremists and work past it. We're in too deep to dig out now and I don't care who got us here or how: it has nothing to do with this poor guy getting his head cut off. This crap has to stop.
No.Quote:

It's really simple.
People like to say that these hostages, Nick Berg, Paul Johnson, who ever, are being kidnapped and killed in RETALIATION to America's presence in Iraq and thus implying if we left they would stop.
HOWEVER:
There WAS no American presence in Iraq before September 11th, yet they still attacked us. They attacked the WTC twice, the USS Cole, and American embassies in Africa. So what's that in retaliation of? It surely can't be because of American presence in Iraq, becuase THERE WAS NONE!
And that's the point. The idea that these are going on because we are in Iraq are nonsensical and have no basis in fact or reality. They hate us, they want us dead, and they will fight until we are dead or they are dead. And, as I said before, that's really all there is to it.
Yeah, I don't believe it's in retaliation for toppling Saddam + hanging around , because it's Al-Qaida that's mainly doing it and they have nothing to do with Saddam. It's just terrorists being opporunistic because some of their enemies are a jeep ride away, rather then a plane fligth away.
Hey Mike, how are you? I didn't stop listening to Stern, I just don't pay attention to his political rants because he's got no idea what he's talking about. All this FCC bullshit has nothing to do with Bush or even the Presidential branch of government, it's a bipartisan masturbation session aimed at a "safe" target (the vague notion of indecency).
As for war records, I'm not implying that having a flashy one or one at all is important. I'm simply saying that having a really sketchy one is a problem. And I don't see why people keep knocking Bush on his military service, he took legal leave from the National Guard then made up his time later. That's not to say he's a war hero, far from it, but it's not sketchy or immoral. He was a guy that enlisted in the military and never saw combat, nothing more nothing less. If you're going to knock Bush, do it on stuff like his insane immigration policies or his lockdown on all stem cell research. In terms of his handling of the war on terrorism I think he's golden. The notion of a John Kerry Presidency keeps me up nights, when I first heard him say that he looks forward to being the second black president of the United States I was deeply disturbed as a black man and I'm not even black!
