Is that the Suicide Squad knock-off?
I wish I didn't have to miss it.
Yep, it's the Suicide Squad, complete with Boomerang!
Great episode overall.
I'm about 8 episodes ahead of you guys....(thank god for the internet)...
I wont spoil anything for you, but I will say this
You guys have no idea whats coming up....excellent excellent season so far...
Awesome. I'm playing catch-up today and trying to DL some of these. Just saw the Suicide Squad episode and thought it was pretty cool.I liked the different perspective of this one from the villians' standpoint. Seemed like they COULD have put some different criminals on the team though. I mean Plastique and Boomerang? They did what they set out to accomplish though, blindsided the League, pissed off Jonn, and got away with some serious weaponry.Goes to show that with a little bit of planning and subterfuge, Batman-style, any villian can be a threat.
Another thing, why was Jonn trying to plug that lowly worker for info?Couldnt he have just tried to read the injured Plastiques mind?Unless that blast killed her.
And just saw the next episode 'The Balance' too.It sucked. Way to ruin a good trump card Waller had against the League. The animation sucked, and the story blew (well with the exception of the revelation about Diana's dad - but too little too late).I mean what was Faust thinking? With all of those arcane powers, lets just send these Leaguers to the one person who can help them to defeat him. :wtf: And what were these "new" special powers Diana was supposed to have? Wasnt she always able to use her lasso to get others to tell the truth?Another thing this ep. brought to mind, I've always hated to see Sheyira/Hawkgirl fly/float without moving her wings-what good are they if she doesnt use them - would if break the animation budget that badly to make those things move a bit.
Hopefully this episode was just the one bad apple of the bunch.
Eh, not ahead of me.Quote:

And yeah, Jetman, "The Balance" is easily the worst episode this season.
75 cents is 75 cents. I'm supposed to throw away good money?
I wish I had more will power too.....but I'm out on Saturday nites anyway and for some reason Cartoon Network refuses to rebroadcast the episode
I just tape it, but their refusal to re-air is annoying.Quote:

I just watched the Captain Marvel episode - "Clash", and it was 'Holy-Shit' levels of awesome.I cant believe how much of a dick Superman was in this episode.Somewhere back in the Season 2 of the Justice League ( I want to say it was during that Braniac/Darkseid ep - God, I'm such a DC geek), he started to get a lot more harsher and rough around the edges, and you really see that in this episode.Especially, when compared with the better boyscout that is Marvel. Seems like Superman was just hating on the kid from the start because he was so damn powerful. And ,geez, as soon as Superman bitch slapped the kid through the statue, I knew it was on.That was probably one of the coolest "superfights" I've seen since the Justice Lords vs.Doomsday and the League episode. I know Billy Batson aka Marvel is just a kid and is just probably learning the ropes, but Superman should know better than cutting loose like that.If that would have been the middle of Metropolis or there were people in those "Lex-ghetto skyscapers" the two were knocking over ,there'd have been a lot of dead people about.I like the way Marvel almost had Supes on the ropes with the lightning bolt thing - Supes being weak to magic and all, Marvel probably could've taken him, if not for Supes' little lucky break. And Superman trying to explain to the press afterwards "The Justice League will pay for all of the damages" -< looks at Bruce Wayne> -- Bruce Wayne = "fuck"
I liked Marvel's, upbeat, eager attitude. It was fun to watch him really digging on being a superhero.I liked the mention at the round table of Flash's underarm deodorant endorsement escapade and his reaction . And Lex and Waller getting the upperhand and playing Superman like that was good stuff. Especially since it caused Marvel to quit the League.
But,yeah, great episode. It's one's like these that make you wonder why Cartoon Network just sits on these shows and does nothing with them.
Yeah, Captian Marvel rocks like that.
