Counter-Strke and CS: Condition Zero

I've been playing these games for about a week now and have to say they are pretty enjoyable, albeit hard. Still not sure how people can kill me so damn quick from so far away. Anywho, just wanted to see if anyone from here played these games. If so what maps/servers you like to play on.

Also for any of you CS vets, mind giving a noob some shooting tips? I know about the shoot in bursts not spray, but when I watch other people shoot, there bursts seem to be way more accurate than mine. Any other tips would be greatly appreciated.

Learn the maps and the guns.

It's all about practice. Sadly I hardly play anymore, but I used to be damned good at CS. All it took was... what... 5-6 years of playing? ;)

One tip is to find a server that pings well, and stay with it. Getting to know a server's community is a big part of the fun (much like any online game).

You gotta go for headshots.

Oh, and by the way, a lot of people cheat. A lot.

I'm going through Half Life again, so I got Steam and I have this in my system right now.

If we get enough TNL people in I wouldn't mind playing a few games.

counterstrike has always intimidated me. i'd consider playing if some tnl types were on, but i'm willing to wait for counterstrike source.

I was thinking of reinstalling Half Life because I never did get around to finishing it. I now have my PC hooked up to my new TV (50" widescreen HDTV), and a wireless keyboard and mouse, so I've been getting back into PC gaming. I will absolutely suck at it if you'd like to play sometime soon.

Right, that's what I meant. I'm nowhere near good enough to play real people, so I'd mess around with some TNL n00bs.
