While it obviously isn't a selling point in a 2D fighter, I'd much rather be able to play the game in the rendition that it was originally developed than have to worry about what is or isn't in "poor taste right now" and how that'll affect the game.

censorship always boils down to the "need" to have others tell me what I should or shouldn't be able to see.

Well, all of the fatalities werent JUST blood gushers and decapitations.Some of them actually looked kind of cool - Someone here already mentioned Hanzo's. Rimururu,Minaa,and Enja/Kazuki had some pretty slick ones too.

What are the odds of us not getting a censored version of it for X-Box/PS2 ? next to nill? Who has the rights to it SNK/Playmore or Agetec?

Rimururu's is kinda neat- a giant Sledge-O-Matic made out of ice. I had a bit of a chuckle with that one.

Looks interesting. I guess those bugs were SNKP's karma for fiddling with the original design. Zangyaku level 3, here we come. :) But when one pays 41,790 JPY ($379), this is the way SNKP should've released the game in the first place.

The PS2 version that just came out in Japan is censored.
(and has really long load times, apparently)
Also the arcade release of SS0 Special is censored, I believe.
SNK didn't make the game, they only ruined it.

SNK could release an AES game that features child-raping, suicide-bombing, kitten-stomping gameplay and nobody outside of the ng community would even notice.

just so you know, the carts are being recalled. presumably to fix bugs, but i've read that the fatalities will be restored.

Well, Shawn at the NeoStore is helping get carts on their way to SNKP for reprogramming. If you go this route, SNKP will give you "lessened fatalities", cut-down versions of the Zetsumei Ougi.

Why did SNK remove the fatalities? It was due to that damn Nagasaki Incident, I heard. :mad: Outrageously lame. Did Konami take the blood out of the US versions of Silent Scope due to stuff happening here? No, they did NOT.

From what Razoola said, if you get your SS0S cart fixed that you may well be SOL as far as a fully uncensored mode- his Universe Bios may not be able to help you there. So much for a 1:1 version with Zangyaku level 3, especially when the cart is $359. Come on SNKPlaymore- the Neo-Geo is not a console that those under 16 will generally be buying games for given its cart prices.

You probably shouldn't be in a hurry to send your cart back. Who knows whether or not SNK just may be ready to rip out the original ZL3 fatality code?
