I have to see more then a video before I believe it. Like one of the big sites in the crack scene saying it's cracked. He could have used the wave race regular game and put his own label on it. I'm not saying he's lying, I'm just skeptical.
how many people do you know have a DVD burner and a broadband line to dl 2 gig filesQuote:

im not saying that the recent cracking of the Xbox or GC are good things but i honestly dont think its going to hurt them that much either
people have also been pirateing PS2 games since almost right after it came out and hasnt really hurt it
im not going to go ranting against pirateing because i think almost everyone here probably has roms of old arcade games or other such things and none of us are perfect when it comes to most pirating talk i just sit on the fence but the second video just kinda well i thought it was stupid
the people doing it OBVIOUSLY have major bucks
they can afford a fucking humongeous tv and sound system but wont spend 50 bucks on a game
i know it may sound stupid but i find that more annoying then the kid whose whole fmaily doesnt really have the money and is playing games on a 15 inch tv that barely works pritateing a game but thats me
you dont need broadband and a dvd burner...theres plenty of sites that offer such a service :)
Well, if you are not the type of person who cares, why not pirate?Quote:

pathetic
Can anyone give me a good reason not to?
yeah cause then you wouldnt be HARDCORE! LOL :jest:
A good reason? Depends on the game. For large releases everyone buys anyway, a pirated version here and there won't hurt. However, not buying the smaller niche titles and limited releases will severly hurt those games and drop the promise of those companies releasing more lesser-known titles or even taking chances making something interesting as opposed to repackaged drivel that will sell to the masses. You want a wider variety of games that take chances and offer new concepts? Buy games. You want to hurt the industry and not care? Pirate.Quote:

I couldn't see the vids, only sound. Grrr.. Could someone who can see it explain what is happening in them? Is the guy's face reflected in the cd in the second movie? lol (heard that from a friend who'd seen it)
Well, DVD burners have already dropped in price atleast $100 in the last year, with recordable media going down $5 (speculative). Heck, you can get CD-Rs for pennies now, and they've only been out maybe 5 years (CD-burners).
hmm
broadband: yes
2 gig file: no problem
dvd burner: yes
and i never have pirated a game
