Gran Turismo PSP to be PS2 Port

I was really excited about this and now I know that I can just ignore it and get GT4 on the Ps2. :rolleyes:

DS wins now by default.

Popolocrois Monogatari is a port (from the PSOne). Quite a few others from the list of games announced were too. I don't see why this is so shocking.

My particular dislike with it is due to the racing not being the least bit fun. There's no real back-and-forth to it, and there isn't a whole lot that differentiates it from other games on the track. Plus, the customization stuff just gets old. As an arcade racer, it's too slow-paced, and as a sim game, it's just too mundane. I've had more fun washing cars in the game than I did racing.

While I think GT4 will be quite amazing (due to track design, mostly), this is stupid. Who didn't think this machine would be port heavy just like the GBA?

Kinda. I never really appreciated ANY racer for more than a few minutes, hold cart racers. Racing around a set track a certain number of times get's so annoying and tedious that I usually quit playing before the first run is over. If I wanted to drive around in a pretty car, I would buy a WRX, thank you.

The only racer that sparked my interest for a while was Initial D, and even THAT game wore off after a while. Eurobeat can't keep me coming back for more after for so long.

Well, in general, I love racing games. But this series just doesn't do much for me. Sega GT might be a copycat, but at least there, the racing is done somewhat well. Gran Turismo's a great driving simulator, as advertised, but it's a boring racing game.

Except it isn't a great driving simulator. There are tons of more realistic games on the PC.

This is part of the reason I'm expecting 4 to be great. I don't like most football games because they aren't good arcade games OR sim games. Just like GT isn't an arcade game nor is it a sim.

I want to purchase this game just so I can marvel at how pretty it is, wondering to myself "How the hell is this a portable?" I'm so gay.
