Do the Duke (Golgo 13 sniper game)
How many of you have seen this game? (or heard of it..)?

It's a series of three sniper games by Namco/8ing that are something along the line of Silent Scope but the most notable aspect about this is that most of the time you have only ONE shot to complete a mission. (Think the GunBullet series in a way, since you have a quota to meet). You get to re-enact some of G13's greatest hits from the comics. Heck, there are even digitized scenes straight from the comic series. Wery well done indeed.

Your score is determined by the time you take and your accuracy on the target. (A "right between the eyes" shot will obviously get you max points if your mission is an assassination.) You don't die, but you have a meter that starts at 100%. If you fail a mission (by missing the target) you lose 80%. Sometimes you lose less depending on the mission. Once that meter hits 0, game over. If you complete a mission, you gain 30% back (some marginal shots may get you only 10%). You can never go past 100%, though.
Like I said before, most missions only give you one shot. One of the more memorable ones is where you see a lady walking and you have about 10 seconds to hit only the heel of her pump.

Another example has you on a train. You have 12 seconds to pick off a gang boss while he's on his balcony. The train's movement is simulated, so it can be a challenging shot. There's even a mission where you get to pick off a hostage-taking hitwoman in a high-rise. Some missions require you to take down a group of bad guys (you get unlimited ammo, though). And environmental "conditions" change too, (Night vision, total darkness, helicopter movement, etc...)
My thoughts: This game is awesome!! It's a totally separate game from Silent Scope and require a different learning curve. Also, the scope is more 'realistic', giving an even greater challenge for making a good shot. Those who rely on luck may find themselves frustrated for coming so close to making the shot to save their arse. The comic intermissions are great and before I forget, there are "after shot" comic scenes as well. But again, I would recommend this series (the second game seemed to be the most popular) to anyone who want to do the Duke....
