Majesco Announces Rolling
Think Jet Set Radio, but without all the paint
Majesco has announced their first inline skating game, Rolling, set for release on the Xbox, Gamecube and Game Boy Advance. Developed by UK-based Rage Software, Rolling will be released this fall.
"Rolling embodies the fearless spirit of its most dedicated skaters who continually push the sport beyond its boundaries," said Ken Gold, Vice President of Marketing for Majesco. "Rage has worked tirelessly with the inline skating community throughout the game's development to ensure the most authentic experience on any game console."
Rolling features a cast of 14 of the most popular inline skaters in the world, including world champions Cesar Mora and Fabiola Da Silva. In addition, gamers will be able to create their own skaters using Rolling’s robust create-a-skater, allowing you to choose from over 1200 different pieces of clothing for your in-game persona. From there you can build your skater’s reputation and earn sponsorships from over 30 real-life skating manufacturers included in the game.
Majesco promises over 200 true-to-life tricks, each modeled after input and feedback from pro skaters. 14 real-life locations will be included to skate on, ranging from Escondido Skate Park in California to shopping malls. Rolling also will feature a create-a-park editor, should the original courses become dry.
