my bother rented Kagero (second deception game) when he got hit by a car. While he hated it, I fucking loved it.
I hope this gets released here.
Game comes out this week in Japan.

The American release is going to be called "Trapt".
P.S. You must view the Kagero II TV commercials on that site.
Oh wow, I completely forgot about this game. A used PS2 purchase may be in order when this comes out here.
On a side not, I went back and played Kagero over last winter break because my friend had a copy, and while the gameplay still kicks complete ass, the graphics and controls sure have aged horribly. The non analog control mixed with the muddy low res textures really made me want a new version of the game and now its finally almost here.
edit: Wow, those videos were fucking awesome. It looks like they are really making an emphasis on interactive environment traps. I especially liked the clock, and the cannon which in turn launched the guy into the ceiling, then through a glass floor. After watching those I really really need this game.
I love this series; it satasifies the sadist in all of us (or me, anyway). They have aged horribly though. Same experience as BrandX, except I went back and played through the third one instead of the second (never played the second one, oddly enough). Guh at the framerate and the muddiness and the swimming textures and the load times and how did I put up with this shit years ago? I do want to play this game, even if it has a ghetto-ass name and is sponsored by Admiral Akbar.
Some of the enviromental traps look goofy as all hell, though. One in paticular is the one where the guy gets stuck in the electric fence, only to eat a flaming dropkick from the main character (who is coming down on a zipline) into a spike wall. WTF??

I definately agree with this, they may be goofy, but I loved using the environmental traps more so than the same old "spike wall push into falling spike rock into triple fire arrow shoot of death" type of manuver. For that reason alone I'm excited for the new one, if the environmental traps are as pletiful as the trailer makes them look, there is going to be a rediculous amount of variety to kill your enemies with.Quote:

I loved the first one, especially being able to design the mansion. Also, having half of the Devil in the basement was awesome. I'll gladly give this one my time.
The dialogue in part 3 is so rediculously translated that it is nearly impossible to understand.
