Maybe, but the term "next level" for video games is much older than the Genesis commercials.

I encoded the US Jet Grind Radio ad (the one that seemed like a Japanese commercial) if anybody is interested. I'll have to dig it up.

I also have some others, but offhand can't remember which. I'll see what I've got.

Also, it is fucking hilarious.

I tped a Kids in the Hall marathon off of Comedy Central about, say, 12 years ago and somewhee on that tape is hilarious Genesis commercial that was made to look like TV mail order offer. Did you know that you can use Sonic the Hedgehog 2 to cover up that embarassing bald spot?

I most certainly did, it works like a charm.

The whole RAR file is ~200 megs, and at that some commercials in it are pure ass. I can rip all the VG ads (and the Energizer ad with the hilarious aussie) into a seperate zip file however...
