I bought this game after reading all the great reviews it got on various websites.
It's an import game so the entire game is in Japanese and I can't understand anything.
Is there any way to translate the text into English? Are there any translations guides on the net?
I remember people saying in their reviews they played the game in English.
I'm a classic square rpg nut, I want to experience this game, please help.
Download the transalated ROM.You own the game ...so ones losing out if you dowload the ROM . Noone would lose out if even if you didnt own the game , since the SNES is dead.
I payed good money for the cart though.
I've also read where the english translation isn't done very well.
Looks like I'll have to learn some japanese.
Japan's "secret of mana 2"(Seiken Densetsu. . .2) is the US released Secret of Mana. "part 1" was a gameboy game(came out here as Final Fantasy Adventure), so if its Seiken Densetsu 2, and not 3(jap only), you'd do well to just buy the english version.

No one loses out if you buy used products when the products are still being sold new, right? Yeah, only the company that created them. Really, you're hurting the companies more when you buy used games than when you use emulators to play games that haven't been sold in years.

You bought the Japanese copy of the game, right? Now, there is a way to dump the rom from the cartridge and a translation on a blank cartridge and play it in English on your SNES/SFm. I'm not going into details, you can do the research yourself.
It has little to do with "hurting" the company. Buying used games is perfectly legal, even in Japan now. ROMs are completely illegal, unless you own the original copyright.

Funny. I buy new games all the time. I never wait for a game that I want to play to be unavailable for purchase new just so I can steal it. And yet I don't have any problems with emulating games that I can't buy new. "According to your logic" my ass. The logic is "If you steal new games, you're hurting the industry. If you buy used, you're hurting the industry. If you emulate games that can no longer being sold new, you're not hurting the industry." People who use this logic want videogame companies, not Funcoland and sellers on Ebay, to have their money.
