After you buy a game, there is an info box that says something along the lines of "Click here to learn how to get a 10 dollar coupon good off your next purchase". It's not like I buy a game and EB just sends away all my credit card info.

Then there is a disclaimer in rather big type RIGHT UNDER WHERE YOU CLICK OK that reads "By agreeing to this you agree that EB may send your name, address, blah blah blah, credit card info to reservation rewards, and that you have 30 days free and then they charge you if you don't cancel".



Now, if what happened to JMET where Reservation Rewards didn't cancel after he called them, well, that's not EB's fault at all since they don't have any part of that company. For people to say "Wow, EB is so evil for doing this", I don't really see WHY, as this is just a partnership (or affilate) and people shouldn't judge EB based on what Reservation Rewards does.
