I know we've mostly gone beyond the petty Vietnam debate, but I think it's prudent that some of you here atleast see the duality of views / service to ones country. Makes the illusion that only Republicans are patriots somewhat shallow doesn't it?

You know what's funny, you've called me partisan in the past and now you've gone completely off the hinge. I can see no reason for making this post except to flare things up and tell all the Republicans and Conservatives on the board "fuck you, your views suck, mine is the only acceptable one". I don't recall anyone on this board ever saying "Republicans are Patriots and Democrats arn't", some Republicans are complete scumbags and some are good men, it runs the same on both sides. A lot of Democrats voted for the Iraqi war and some didn't, personally it doesn't matter. A political party designation usually doesn't mean a damn to me, it's the actual person that is important. If Lieberman had won the primaries I may have voted for a Democrat for the Presidential election.

I never said anyone here said that, it's a common misconception and if you deny that there's no point in talking to you because your head is in the sand. You know, if any of the above information is inaccurate THEN you should jump my case.

No one thinks that Democrats aren't patriotic. They just have stupid ideas on what is good for the country.

I assumed so because you've made a lot of posts in such a manner. I don't think anyone here believes that only Republicans are patriots so I still don't see the point in making the post except to flare things up.
