I just couldnt get into it, it was alright, but Oot would be more memorable. I blame the score in KOTOR and the fact that it was more Star Wars like then the last 2 movies for it being on the top.Quote:

Loved Majora's Mask (second only to Wind Waker in the Zelda franchise), was bored to death by Ocarina of Time (easily the worst in the Zelda franchise), and have so little interest in anything Star Wars that I haven't bothered to try KOTOR (though I prolly will someday just because I liked Baldur's Gate).
Just in case anyone's confused, those are my opinions are up there. ^
sign me up too, but replace KOTOR with "nearly all RPG's".
i fucking hate it when you have to put 3+ hours into a game to get to something decent.
Considering you just stating what you liked and didn't accuse everyone else of being wrong for their views, yes. Glad we had this conversation, have fun.Quote:

Stranger, from Oddworld Inhabitants. It sounds like they've learned their lesson from the commercial failure of Munch's Oddessy.
Kameo and Conker from Rare actually look promising now.
Halo 2 is a given.
GTA3 is a given.
THUG2 is virtually a given (I haven't been keeping track of its popularity)
Jade Empire, KOTOR II, and Metroid Prime.
Outside of Otogi 2, DOAU and MAYBE Outrun 2 if Sega fixes all the bugs from the European rev, I can't think of any Japanese games that I even remotely care about.
A lot of you guys wanted to talk about racing games being the only genre dominated by the West.
What about MMO, sports, FPS and RTS? None of these genres is even decently represented by the Japanese.
Japan dominates JRPGs. And fighters (which would count for something if this were 1991). And third-person crapticular (haw) action-fests (see: DMC). They don't even dominate platformers anymore (see: BG&E/PoP). Am I missing something?
FFXI does pretty good, and holds a rather large chunk of users in both the East and the West.Quote:
