Well its good to see that you got a handle on what makes a game good. Style over substance, eh chief?Quote:

So you're saying, I should wait for the IGN review, and then read the IGN review? Whats it gonna be, 12 pages this time? To quote PA, Id rather pound nails through my dick.
No, not IGN's review :) If I thought you really cared, I'd give you one of my own.Quote:

There is a mode called Assault that is structured entirely around team work, one team defends something while the other attacks it. The defenders usually have the advantage and if they work together can completely shut down the opposing team. But if you work as team you can win. It can be a real rush planning an attack and executing it with seven other guys. I was absolutely addicted to this during the beta, and played it every day during the beta's run.
It's a shame so few people actually beta tested this. Sony dropped the ball big time and a lot of people with adelphia ISPs couldn't log on. And those who did would just play endless deathmatches, get tired of it, and never play again, not once touching the other game modes.
I for one can't wait to play it, but that won't be for quite some time, since I don't have access to a cable line anymore.
I ran into none of these problems. I shot someone a few times, they'd die. If I scored a headshot they'd die instantly. If I got shot once or twice I'd lose health but not die. No problems picking up or cycling though weapons, either.Quote:

I'm pretty certain he was talking about the multiplayer game.Quote:

The gave it an overall score of 7.5. I don't know about that review...they bitch a lot about how completely horrible the AI, framerate (two of the most important things in a FPS) and glitches are, and go on to say how the graphics, sound, and atmosphere save the title. Sounds like IGN has their priorities in order.
Though, in the demo I played, these complaints weren't really present (and the atmosphere was damn good, I'll admit), probably because the two levels I played were somewhat compact and limited. I'm still interested in giving the game a rent, but I doubt I'll be buying it.
SO this not a Halo-Killer huh, Man some people at the gamespot forums are getting burned as I type.
No one ever expected it to be, aparently aside from Gamespot posters and all the magazines swinging from Sony's nuts.Quote:
