Hmm.. you work for Apple or something? I've been waiting for this Ipod for awhile now. This is the reason why I held off on buying the 4G Ipods (was it 4 or 5 that had the click wheel?) because I knew a color screen would eventually arrive. I got a mini instead since 1,000 songs was enough for me to hit the gym.

I have a 2G 20 gig, I'm a digital photographer, plus I want to upgrade my ipod.

And I'm still not buying this.

This is exactly the direction I wanted the ipod to go, it just didn't go far enough. I would have already ordered one yesterday if it had the one function I need: camera to ipod transfer. With the Photo ipod, you still need a slow, bulky 3rd party accessory to transfer pictures. I might as well take a 12-inch laptop into the field with me to dump my photos.

I was reading up on it, and that seemed to be the only qualm I came up with as well. It's nice that you can have your photo's WITH you, but I knew some people would want to transfer right after they took the photo's. I'm pretty sure Apple will address this eventually. Would you not need some type of special adapter, however?

Just plug the camera into the firewire port on the ipod, I assume.

Agreed. I don't get it. I don't really feel the urge to scroll through all my photos at the sime time I get the urge to listen to some music.

I'm also not really big on forcing other people to look at stills from my boring life. Soon it seems I will be subject to this horror from many trendy bitches. This idea = thumbs down.

Why does this need to even be explained? You've never been put in a situation where you said "Oh, I have some photo's we took from x vacation" or "Let me show you the photo's I took while in L.A." or whatever. Bam. You can show them to all of your friends in a matter of seconds, without carrying around the actual photo's or your digitial camera. This is for people who want to show off their photos.

Okay, what about the other 299,999,900 people in the United States?
