It looks kind of interesting, but it's just another game that gets left behind this Holiday season due to the flood of AAA titles.
I think this is a title I will pick up in the coming spring, after things calm down.
It's great fun and shouldn't be left behind by fans of a good monster-smacking game like Champions of Norrath. I'm playing it right now between bouts of San Andreas and honestly it's got as much of a hold on me as GTA does. It's got a really nice challenge level to it as well, forcing you to think about how you handle the enemies.
They did some nice streamlining with the inventory system, too. When you grab an item it's instantly converted into cash, rather than you having to schlep it to a store. Newer, more powerful swords and armor are automatically equipped, although it would have been nice to convert the old stuff into cash. Still, it keep you focused on the gameplay rather than the inventory management so I'm not really missing it too much.
Plus it's got a dog that flushes out grouse that I can then shoot down for extra cash. You can't go wrong with that. :)

I remember this game YEARS and YEARS ago when I used to play it on my Tandy Bwahahaha.
I perfered scorched earth and wasteland back then.
I am definately will be renting it this weekend. Will post the impressions then.
Keep in mind that my "it's got as much of a hold on me as GTA does" line is because action/RPGs are my absolute favorite genre, hands down. Mileage may vary, and all that. :)

I'd buy this game if it had two-player co-op.
