On the way to work I heard on the traffic report that a few NYC streets were closed because of "Debris falling from the sky." I can't find any news about it though. Anyone in NYC know anything about this?

It didn't seem like a very big deal since it was only a few street closures, but I'm interested in knowing what kind of debris it is. I know debris falls from space often, but maybe it's a busted airplane, or just some bitchy girlfriend tossing her boyfriend's shit out a window.
