Well, I just saw screens from scans on this game, and it looks phenomenal. The Hurricane is in, as is "the Boss" Spike Dudley. HHH looks great, and the pyro looks realistic. In the developer interview, it is stated that there MIGHT be online play and XbL downloads.

The Civic Center arena looks awesome, and should make for a great balttleground for the legends. The LOGICAL reversal system should be great. Anything that involves in the death of a Pedigree being countered with a headlock-elbow combo is a good thing.

Actually he added more than you'd know. Wrestling games are repetitive and boring without innovation and new features. DoR was a great installment, but THQ and Yukes will focus far too much on the graphics and then give us a crummy roster count. It's sort of a deal like: Listen, wow! 1,000,000 more poly's per wrestler and now we only get Triple H, Undertaker and Hardcore Holly?Quote:

I rented DoR this week, and good God do I despise the counter system in the game. To be honest, I've liked both of the RAW titles for Xbox. The second might not be the best game in the world, but can be a lot of fun.
Here's what I don't get. Why is it that wrestling games with great features come out, and then after that every other game acts like that feature never existed? I just can't understand how we can have two absolutely amazing wrestling titles on the N64 - I can't comment on the versions when they were still WCW, because I didn't really play them much - and then see the genre DEVOLVE. Every wrestling game since Wrestlemania 2000 should start at a level equal to that game, and then get better from there.
What I'd almost like to see is a company start with a great game basis, and then instead of making a totally new game every time, sell expansion packs to fix, expand, and improve on what they already have. Make a great start for a game, let me get it, make my wrestlers, and whatnot, and then sell me an expansion a year later with all of the wrestlers to come along since the previous game, new game modes, venues, available moves, etc.
I could go a lot farther into what I think needs to be done. I will say, though, that MUCH more effort needs to be put into the non-WWE section of the game. At least with everybody I know, dinking around with the "official" portions of the game is only fun for so long. After that, we want our own federation, our own matches, our own wrestlers, our one PPVs, our own belts, etc.
DoR has a reversal system almost exactly like No Mercy and Wrestlemania 2000 though shidoshi. The left shoulder reverses punches and the right grapple moves. You just tap it before the punch or grapple lands and you reverse.
Easily the best system in a WWE game since those games. Take the time to learn it a little bit (which doesn't take all that long) and you'll be better off for it. The system has more of a learning curve because the game is fast than the N64 games so the timing isn't quite as pronounced. Some features should stay in the past, though, like the sitting up state you can put your opponents in that just recently made a return to Smackdown. It's a pointless addition and ruins a lof of the fluidity in the game. You can no longer just get an opponent up, you now have to sit him up and THEN get him up.
In No Mercy you could just hold it and get your opponent up all the way. I guess Yukes missed that little part.

The only notable thing is the swanky cover art being shown, which confirms Xbox Live usage of some kind.
it's not the fact that the reversal system is retarded, it's the fault of the controller. those l+r buttons suck so bad it makes the reversal system a chore.
