Just got home about an hour ago.
I am fucking exhausted. There was line wrapped AROUND THE DAMN STORE at 5:30 AM!
The morning rush lasted lasted until about 4 PM and was absofuckinglutely manic. It was like someone pumped liquid crack into the drinking water the night before and turned them all loose.
Screaming children, screaming adults, several near-fisticuffs encounters, one-hour waiting time for the check-out line, and just all around psychomania for 10 DAMN HOURS!
I been doing this for six years now and I have NEVER seen it like this. I'm just glad it's over.
just got back home from work - man... our store was damn dead... when i came in at 4pm ok there were a good bit of people there, but right at 5pm everyone emptied out and we were like stillborn the rest of the day. Granted we didn't have any specials going like blitz sales and whatnot but I guess on the whole bookstores aren't getting that black friday attention anymore - oh well, it was nice for me. Quite a underwhelming feeling actually ....
I spent blitz day sleeping late, eating leftovers and finally getting to my 3 papers which are due on tuesday. The only shopping i did was buying a venti espresso from starbucks so i could stay up to do these stupid papers, the line was insanely long though.
I went out yesterday morning to buy my DS, and my dad had to run to a few places. Wasn't THAT bad, and we have a pretty busy area. Wal-mart had a long wait, but nothing extraordinary. Got a 27 flat-tube TV for under a hundred bucks somewhere, and the guy at EB sold me somebody's DS preorder because the person never came to pick it up. We also got so much pop I don't think we'll ever be able to consume it before next year. A very productive morning.
I work at target...the only things for the $18 DVD's that sold out at my store was Simpsons Season 4.Quote:

I picked up one of the last Simpsons, as well as Southpark season 1 and season 2 for a total of $51.xx.
I went to EB at 7:06 and got the one and only new copy of CoR for 9.99
I also got gungrave new, and Gundam: Federation vrs Zeon used, R Types Final used, and Skys Of Arcadia Legends used.
=/ I don't know how happy I am about my purchase. For starters they didn't let me look at the disk because of the rush. I think people ate off of Rtypes and G: FvrsZ, plus Rtypes has no manual. The best part is they somehow forgot to put the disk in Sky's of Arcadia Legends.
After I go back to get the game I already paid for, and getting scratched disks, and no manual for one, I didn't get as good of a deal as I thought. More like an OK deal, and not the super awesome one I'd hoped for.
And before someone chimes in with "OMG U DUM BASS, U should HAVE asked TO SEE THE DISK @_@"
1. They were in sale sale sale mode, and had the three guys working in a line to get used games, found, cased, and stuck with those stupid stickers.
2. There was 5 mothers with lots of games, and crap behind me. One of them being a BIG black mother. I did NOT want to make those people wait on my frivolous (at least to them) game inspection. The last thing I needed was getting laid out by a BBM piledriver.
But I did get to see the Incredibles for 4 bucks. =D go me.
Did you ring out any of those anal massagers?Quote:
