What KD2 needs is interactivity between the objects you pick up. Like if you pick up a magnet, you can get more metal items, or a sheet of seaweed collects rice.
I think they need more misison-specific stages, where you are charged with a specific goal besides size, kinda like the constellation missions. It kinda detracts from the easygoing nature of the first game, but definitely adds more challenge.Quote:

Actually no... and Namco blamed low sales on retail for not ordering enough too (though who can blame them really when Namco themselves don't bother to promote the game). Katamari Damacy sold around 40k here I think, which is pretty decent for a niche budget release but not nearly enough to automatically greenlight the sequel and evidently much less than Namco was anticipating.
