Attn: TNL New Yorkers aka TNL NY Get Together part deux

Ok Gentlemen. Heres the deal. I spoke to MVS last night, about what time he was arriving at Penn Station so I could meet up with him. He said he would call me back in an hour, but I never heard from him again. I assume he just decided to spend a little more time in PA, which is fine.

But I'll be there at 6, and if everyone is 21+ we should head back to williamsburg (brooklyn). Its not a long trip by any means, and it will only require us taking the A train to 8th ave, then get on the L for 5 stops. This is the area that I live, and we can get off the train right next to the place with the free pizza. We can all get some pizza and beer here, and if we choose we could hang out there for awhile. If not, everyone is invited over to my place to hang out and have some more to drink and make plans for the rest of the night. If we want to do some bar hoping, there are quite a few places around me, or if you so choose, we could head back to manhattan for some more sophisticated, non dive, bars.

Tonight should be a fairly busy night out as I dont think many people have to work tomorrow morning. All in all, it should be a decent time, drinking with friends that we dont know IRL that well.

How does this plan sound, everyone?

I ran into a fairly major problem at the last second and couldn't make it. I didn't have my cell on me so I couldn't call Mezz or anyone to explain. Sorry guys, I was really looking forward to it.

Lets plan something again real soon, on a weekend (which is probably better for everyone), and make a whole day out of it like last time. And let's try to make more concrete plans in advance and get more people to go, okay?

I wish I could have made it. Fucking O'Hare pisses me off every time I fly through it. But on a positive note, I quite enjoyed my week in NYC and have decided I shall have to move there at some point in the near future.

I guess it's like a Dave and Buster's that doesn't suck. Seems like it's nothing but 80's arcade titles like Outrun, Commando, Tempest, Tapper, DK and DK Jr, about 25 or so in total I think. Oh, and they're all a quarter.

These are some pics I found on the place. Looks like it's a pretty whitebread crowd but I wouldn't let that stop anyone (it's Williamsburg afterall.)

Yeah, that place is about 4 blocks from where I live. I should have thought about it for the tnl gathering, I dont know why I didnt. Pretty sweet, though not the greatest selection of games. Before I went, I was hoping for a slight selection of stuff like say, SF2 or something, but its all completely 80s stuff. The place is really really huge though. All the games have stools in front of them, and have little pieces of wood between each machine to set your drink on.

From what I've read, people find the place pretty anti-social. Well shit, it's nothing but 1-player games.

Maybe you should convince the guy to get SSF2 turbo. Anyway, I might check it out this weekend.
