The first Xbox shots look like crap now. These last two of Raven (was that her name) and Robot could probably be achieved in game on the XB these days. With texture pop-in, of course. ;) There are characters in Halo 2 that look better than Raven now.Quote:

Whoever said that Tomb Raider sucked is either pretty ignorant or they played for the first time years after it came out.
All it takes is one outstanding title for me to buy a new system (and a 150 dollar price point). Once a platform can do that, I'm in.
Actually, I played it for the first time when it came out. I didn't like it then and I don't like it now.
I liked tomb raider up to level 3 or 4 (whichever one had the T-rex), didn't like any of the levels past that

...I still don't see how different the next generations of consoles will be. The controllers will pretty much be the same: The PS3 will be backwards compatable = Dual Shock 3 ; and the Xenon will actually have fewer buttons (WTF?)
This current gen is the first generation to be "full 3D"...the 32/64 bit generation was one in which 3D was still new ground and even experimental (until around '98-'99). The only new thing that this gen did was introduce "mainstream" online console gaming. The next gen will just be more of the same gameplay with a more developed/popular online aspect...
Next gen will look like Farcry, Doom 3, HL2, etc.. to begin with. And by the end of the cycle, look a bit better than that.
