Is there a CD recorder I buy that will allow me to easily copy my old cassettes to CD quickly and efficiantly WITHOUT the need for a PC? Y'know, like one of those stand alone units? I've seen numerous stand alone CD recorders none of them with built in cassette decks.
Funny, I found some cassettes yesterday and threw them in the trash as fast as I could (4 seconds, I counted. Could have been 2 but I had to walk into another room to the garbage).
Do they even put cassette decks in radios anymore?
I've seen a couple of the units, with both a VCR and DVD(Burner) built in. But, one unit I saw said on the box, that it will not copy copyrighted material.
hmmm I don't think I know of any that will copy from tape to CD
I think the tape was replaced (ie lost market space to the cd) so fast, before burners really became common that I don't think this ever happened
but I could be wrong, but honestly I've never seen anything like that (well cept for what Gamevet mentioned with the DVD recorders)
You should be able to hook up an old tape deck to a cd recorder shelf unit without any problems. The quality might be pretty assy, but it should work.

Just download the MP3s, burn to CD. done.
You already paid the artist for the music. No harm done.
