Lately I have been itching to play this PS1 FPS again but I'm worried about how much it might have aged. Back then this game was really good and underrated. Has it held up 8 years later?

I think this game was on Judgement Day's Buried Treasures
Wasn't this Insomniac's first game?
That screenshot looks pretty good still. Having 2D enemies might actually help, they still look all right, whereas if it used 3D models it'd probably look a lot more dated.
It still pretty good. There are some cheap deaths later on in the game, and some of th enemies do insane damage, but so long as you remember to play very carefully later on, you should be good. Its a bit short though; it only took me about 4 hours or so to beat it.
Exactly. Decent then, only a little less decent now.Quote:

I remember the reviews as being mostly positive. At least GameFan liked it, I think.
Yes, I don't think they made anything before it.Quote:

I always liked Distruptor. It had a great feeling to it, at least compared to a lot of the FPS stuff back then. I, as well, should go back one day and give it another try, see if it's held up at all.
Play Alien Ressurection, it has mouse support :)
It takes four hours to beat? What's the worst that could happen? You spend another four hours of your life playing a game that wasn't as good as you hoped it would be. For me at least it wouldn't be the first time. :)
