ok, try this: block the sweeps.

Every shoto I play online sweeps like every second, and it leaves them wide open to attacks by pretty much every character. So just dash in and block, or jump in, option a parry, then block when you land (if you attack in the air and whiff, they can sweep you when you land). If you're playing a shoto yourself, you can punish every sweep with a sweep of your own. It's funny training people slowly to not spam sweeps. Other fun ways to punish a sweep include Yang's hadoken motion punches, Ken's SA3, Chun's SA2, etc.

I kept trying to get the parry timing down on their "Jump in (Some kick) land Punch" repeat. But It was just really frustrating heh.

I do the same thing, because I'm dumb. *voice from Typing of the Dead* Don't be like him! Just block, and hit when they're open. Bad shotos are always giving you chances to hit, but seriously, you should block more than you parry.

My biggest problem is I suck at punishing people, whenever I block and they're open, I'll land like one hit and be done with it.

I've been staying up to 12-4 lately playing Phantom Dust so time isn't a big issue.

I usually work second shift, and can be available after 9:30. Lately, I just stopped playing in favor of PSP gaming. We can play for a bit tonight around 10 (eastern standard time) or so.

Yeah, I've heard of people using PS2->USB converters to dangle off of the PS2 port for better response. So, now I guess I've had 3 defective anniversary sticks since I'm now without this port cover...I mostly use my modded pelican anyway, but I might like to have a second console sanwa stick.

Well, I finally got around to modding my second SFAC stick, and this time, I did it without ruining the Communicator port. I went with a Neo-Geo color scheme this time.

I'm selling the first one I modded on eBay. The Communicator port doesn't work, but everything else does.
