I don't know if that counts. Wouldn't 'death' be when the platform stops getting first party support?

I would say it's when the hardware stop being manufactured.Quote:

I wasn't trying to say the DC had the longest record of undead games - the C64 probably holds that record. Or some Atari platform if you think hobbyists banging out horrible shareware on weekends counts.
But I don't think the Neo Geo could be considered dead when the 1st party was still making games for it. It was more like one of those life-support vegetative states where the family just couldn't let go, despite irrepairable brain damage having set in years ago.
Yeah, the worst shades. If Triangle Service wants to dig up graves, how about Thunder Force or even Compile? Not a game that couldn't compete with Raiden in 1990.Quote:

Because it's made by Triangle Service, and XII Stag showed them to be very amateurish. This will be a few steps below a quality doujin shooter.Quote:

Giga Wing 2 looks nice, Zero Gunner 2 looks nice, Gradius V and Ikaruga look nice. I can't even complain much about Shikigami 2.
More like 6/10. I'm not interested in Trizeal so far since it looks like a "poor man's Raiden but...Shienryu is darn fun even though it feels like it was ripped out of a stuffy old pizzaria's arcade cab somewhere..but that's why i like it. So shut up Punky Brewster. grrr However...Quote:

...excellent point. Shame Compile died. A Zanac style MUSHA update would have been smokin.'Quote:

Well, it's got to be better than Shienryu Explosion. (You call THAT Shienryu 2? Pffft!) Admittedly Raiden III is apt to trump it when its PS2 port hits.
Yeah, this is true of the NeoGeo, but not the DC. The manufacturing stopped a few years back, then last year they started to produce new systems again due to consumer demand. I think they're still making them, I've seen sites where you can by brand new Japanese DCs, but they're like $150~$200. :eek:Quote:

www.click-stick.com has some vids of Senkou in action, looks really interesting. I guess Milestone has a new Naomi shooter in the works too, looks better than Chaos Field though thats not saying much. *-neoQuote:
