Xbox Emulation Help

[DISCLAIMER]This thread will have no links to any illegal things at all, and all conversation shall revolve around me playing things on my Xbox that I already own on my N64.[/DISCLAIMER]

Ok, so I just downloaded the newest version of "Surreal XXX" which is the Xbox N64 emulator, only thing is, it's like 3 emulators in one.

It seems like no matter what, my wrestling ROMS refuse to properly work. I got No Mercy to run, using the default settings for whichever the middle of the 3 emus are on the menu (Ultra HLE?) but the opening screens are all B&W and Titantron videos refuse to work right, and I get lots of stuttering. WCW Revenge refuse to work completely.

It's not like I can't just play my N64 versions (and hell, these Aki wrestling games REALL don't work to well the way the buttons are mapped on the Xbox controller) but it would be nice to be able to just play 'em on a whim without breaking out the N64.

Is there a troubleshooting website, or maybe a website that has a list of ROMS and which settings I should use on each one?

We should have a seperate section in fight club for these things.

I would find out exactly what site holds and releases these emulators because must of the time they will have a faq that will troubleshoot most of your problems in reguards to settings and what roms won't work. Otherwise check the boards on places like google or something.

the xbox scene forums are pretty good at this. they have an emulator section.

Thank you my friends. I find it odd that No Mercy (which is the most current of the Aki games) works, but Revenge (which is quite a bit older) doesn't.

I completely agree with this. Mosr "scene" forums have the information you need, but everyone is very anti-newbie. I'd rather discuss it with people I "know" here at TNL.

If anyone here has first-hand experience with Surreal XXX (or any other Xbox emus like, PCSXbox, XboyAdvance, etc) let me know. Tain?

That's the only reason I've got any emus on my xbox...so far, only the NES one is good enough for me not to use the real thing. I just tried that Surreal XXX last night and it looks like it might just be time to RGB mod the N64...not even mario 64 works perfectly.

xbox scene isnt too bad unless you ask really dumb shit which is usually in the stickies. other than that theyre pretty understandable. if you need any help (besides the n64 emus) you can hit me up on aim or pm.

Those of you who are awesome and still emulating, the creator of the KI-XXX emu sent me a link to his latest build (I R TEH BETA TESTER) It runs KI2 at like 95% and kicks a lot of ass.

I've been playing it all day. C-C-C-COMBO BREAKER.
