so ive been trudging through this game on the pc. btw 1440x900 widescreen looks pretty damn nice. my only complaint.......i love how the enemies can shoot their weapons and swing their weapons so much more faster than you. maybe i haven't figured out the combat yet, but i love how i taser a guy, bash his head in with a sledgehammer and he automatically counter attacks. afaik you can't counter attack yourself can you?
If you successfully block an attack you can quickly counterattack with your weapon (press the attack buttom immediately after a block..it should be a quick attack). After you counterattack give 'em a nice kick in the ass.Quote:

Different weapons have different attack speeds, but what you're talking about is different. Enemies don't counterattack, but they have a lot of animations for attacking; they can fake, they can turn a recoil around into an attack (which is what you're talking about), and they can be tricky to read. BUT all of these attacks are blockable, so you just have to get good at reading your opponent. That's a big part of the fun of the combat in Condemned.Quote:

The entry items are just how Condemned handles its lock and key puzzles. They generally put a few of whatever you need in the area.Quote:

And yeah, the investigation parts are more or less just a story telling device. They work pretty well as such, but it never really becomes much of a gameplay element.
