Matrix online

Yesterday matrix ran like total shit and servers were shut down off and on all day.

Today things were better and lots of events and action. The masked group did random jumpings on people today. Then Ghost called a meeting for zionist's at a club to talk about the current events going on with the masked group and find out whats going on.

Soon after the event the masked groups started attacking in bigger numbers. Also a limited time mission is available to everyone untill the next patch which goes out tomorrow. The mission is pretty fun and cool with a few surprisesand a special prize for finishing it. So if your playing do the mission before tomorrow.

Hopefully more goodies are in store for tomorrow.

ok i had issues yesterday too, i could not relog the original frostwolf8 in, after repeted tries i just rerolled him with a quick origin change and a sex change. im finally getting a handle on the class system in this game and i am coming to like it, its open so you can be what you wnat to be in a class, like star wars galaxies, but i like how you can just deactivate abilities rather than forgetting and having to re-grind them. im right now building frostwolf8 as a full on melee damage character, woking up the operative tree and eventually to karate master, may learn the healer tree later. i still havent gotten a single mission, that part didnt really get explained well in the game. hope to find someone on sometime, look for me especially friday morning, im off friday and will be grinding quite a bit, i want karate skills.

edit: oh and ai saw 2 masks, frosty was level 3 at the moment and they were 43. I wisely decided to allow the rest of the crowd to take their shots, i contemplated pulling out my shottie and firing randomly from the crowd, but i dont trust fate there, id be the one they would pick for aggro.

Missions are broken down into a few catagories. When you start out you just call up tyndal on the cell phone or by press N and she'll give you a mission. Once you go through a certain amount of em Agent Grey and Flood will call you with interest in hiring you. This is were you choose to be either zion, machine or exile. Then you just keep doing missions for the group you choose and build up a rep with them.

There are also lots of Contact missions which are side quests that kinda show different sides to the story or just offer a nice destraction. They are hidden and scattered all over the place. Once you talk to em they appear on your map and you can talk to em and get more missions till they run out.

Also once you finished all your critical missions for your group, they then put up some generic missions broken down into types like "assination, courier, infiltration and what not" and you can do these over and over till new critical are released or if your tired of contact missions.

Then there are event missions which happen during events and usually flash across the screen.

UPDATE about the game

Today a new patch came out with some new missions and a new cinema and also a shocker(If you didn't play beta) morpheus has been killed by an unknown masked assassin. Right now we are running missions trying to figure out the assassin and some about morpheus's past. We are also trying to figure out who the masked group is that are attacking everyone.

Also I've been reading and seen by a accidental opps by dev's of some upcoming new job branches. One for each major job branch hacker, coder and opperative. More may come along later on too.

For Hacker will come a new branch called Trojan Horse. This one will be hackers that can take control of other hackers. Sounds pretty cool and can't wait to see it.

For Coder comes another proxy job that makes short life but Highly powerful similarculm. I've never been much for proxy so I'll have to see this one.

Finally for Opperative will be a branch off Akido fighting called Zen Master. Zen Master is supposed to be good at healing and deflecting status effects which may help some of the cry baby MA's who say hackers are too powerful.
